A ‘completely dark’ house in Scotland is going up for auction – with an eye-catching black theme that includes its exterior, ceilings and kitchen.
The three-bedroom home in Broxburn, West Lothian, even has a black front door, black fencing and black decking, as well as a black shed in the back garden.
Inside, the unusual decor choice extends to the stairs and floors as well as most of the ceilings and walls, and even the kitchen fridge and bathroom.
The only variation is the addition of dark purple accents – such as curtains, feature walls and sofa cushions.
The listing for the three-bedroom semi-detached home describes “a spacious living area, and roomy kitchen” as well as “additional storage with a good-sized shed and large garage”.
It is currently up for auction with a guide price of £195,000 – with deadlines for offers set for 5pm on Friday, 17 January.
The house itself is black from first glance, with black walls and black fencing. The rear garden has large swathes of black decking, and even black benches to sit on, along with a black painted shed to add to the gloomy effect.
Inside, all the rooms are decorated predominantly black. The lounge even has black furniture, brightened up by the addition of purple.
The same goes for the bedroom, which not only has a black ceiling and black furniture but black bedding too, along with purple curtains.
The kitchen is a similar theme, with black worktops, black tiling, and black appliances including fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave.
