See inside Taylor Swift’s $80M houses, mansions and lofts

Taylor Swift has been dominating the music industry for over a decade. With her albums, her buzzy Eras tour for which tickets can sell for thousands and merchandise sales, the singer has amassed a net worth in the hundreds of millions.

Indeed, Swift has risen to become the second richest self-made woman in music — with her net worth at a cool $740 million. She has surpassed Madonna’s net worth of $580 million, but ranks behind Rihanna, whose net worth is $1.4 billion.

And while she’s not busy on a very sold-out tour, she stays active when it comes to real estate.

Since 2011, Swift has stockpiled a real estate portfolio worth upward of $80 million.

Most recently, the singer’s former townhouse in Manhattan’s West Village — where she rented in 2016 while waiting out the renovations of her combination penthouse unit in Tribeca — listed for sale asking $17.99 million. What’s more, it’s the home that inspired her “Cornelia Street” tune.

Swift pretty much bought an entire block of New York City for $47.7 million.

Her first NYC real estate purchase was made in 2014, buying two adjacent penthouses in a Tribeca building for $19.95 million.

In 2018, she bought the second-floor complex to the building for nearly $10 million. The unit, which she bought from financier Jeremy Phillips in an off-market deal, spans 3,540 square feet.

In 2017, she purchased a 100-year-old, four-story townhouse next door for $18 million. The three-story townhouse on Franklin Street comes with a gym, a spa, antique French wide-plank oak floors and a planted terrace with a Japanese paper glass wall.

The property has seven bedrooms and six bathrooms and includes a three-bedroom apartment next door for Swift’s security team.

The singer has since submitted a barrage of permits and work orders to the NYC Department of Buildings for over $1 million of renovations.

More recently, she’s made headlines in 2023 for racking up thousands from the city’s Sanitation Department for failing to keep the sidewalks in front of her building clean, according to city records.

When Swift needs a little getaway, she has her Rhode Island home to escape to. Spanning a massive 12,000 square feet, the estate has eight bedrooms and eight fireplaces.

She reportedly made the purchase in an all-cash deal, paying a whopping $17.75 million.

The property sits on 5 acres of land and has more than 700 feet of beachfront on top of the highest point in Watch Hill, giving the singer unobstructed views of the water.

The quiet neighborhood isn’t a typical choice for A-listers, which is probably one of the reasons she chose it. It’s rumored that her song “The Last Great American Dynasty” was inspired by this property.

One of her first real estate purchases was at 20 when she bought a 3,240-square-foot penthouse on Nashville’s Music Row for $1.9 million. These days, when she is in Music City, she is probably spending her time at the grand Greek revival estate known as the Northumberland Estate. In June 2011, she purchased the 5,600-square-foot main house for $2.5 million. Built in 1934, the main house is made up of four bedrooms and five bathrooms, along with a 2,000-square-foot guest house added in 1964. The mansion sits on 6 acres in the elite suburb of Forest Hills.

The house was built by Guilford Dudley Jr., a former US ambassador to Denmark.

While mostly spending her time on the East Coast, Swift does on occasion find herself in Los Angeles.

In 2018, she sold two of her Beverly Hills homes. The first a Cape Cod-style cottage for $4 million, the other a smaller single-story home she used as a guesthouse for $2.65 million.

But she did hang on to one LA property — the 1934 Georgian Revival estate she purchased for a whopping $25 million. The seven-bedroom and eight-bathroom home spans 10,982 square feet.

The mansion used to belong to Hollywood film producer Samuel Goldwyn until Swift bought the home in 2015.

Most recently, Swift gained approval from the Beverly Hills Cultural Heritage Commission to turn the estate into a historic landmark.
