SBI buys Rs 200 cr worth NCDs of Muthoot Fincorp
State Bank of India has purchased non convertible debentures worth Rs 200 crore issued by Muthoot Fincorp. The flagship company of 136-year-old Muthoot Pappachan Group on Tuesday said the debt issue has a five-year maturity with half-yearly being the frequency of the interest payment. However it didn’t reveal the pricing of the issue.

Gold futures rise Rs 192 to Rs 63,146/10 g
Gold prices on Tuesday rose Rs 192 to Rs 63,146 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for February delivery traded higher by Rs 192 or 0.3 per cent at Rs 63,146 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 15,720 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in gold prices, analysts said.

Indian equity benchmark indices ended with gains on Friday, led by IT and auto stocks. While the S&P BSE Sensex closed at 71,107, up by 242 points or 0.34%, the broader Nifty settled 94 points or 0.44% higher at 21,349. The stock market pared weekly losses while ending its longest weekly winning streak in six years on profit booking at record high levels earlier in the week.
