VESTAL, N.Y. (WBNG) — Broome County officials announced new investments to Willow Point Nursing Home in Vestal.
Broome County Executive Jason Garnar said the county has hired over 70 new full-time employees at the facility.
The new Administrator, Sonya Moshier, was welcomed at an event on May 15.
Garnar hopes to continue hiring new people and open up the last remaining closed wing of the facility.
“We want to increase the number of people who directly work for Willow Point and only Willow Point and decrease our reliance on what we call agency staff that come from health care agencies,” said Garner.
Officials also took time to recognize the long-tenured staff currently at Willow Point.
