Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It’s the final trading day of the week, the second-last trading day of the month and for the April-June quarter as well. The Nifty, having ended the June F&O series on a strong note, would look to begin the new series on a high as well.
The bulls will also receive a boost from Wall Street, where indices ended within touching distance of record high levels, particularly the S&P 500 and Nasdaq.
With Thursday’s move, the Nifty is now 700 points away from the September 27, 2024 record high level of 26,277. The broader markets, which underperformed the Nifty surge on Thursday, would also be aiming to reverse that trend.
A major trigger today will be the NSE indices rebalancing, which will take place later in the session. Stocks like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank (which closed at a record high), will see inflows.
Today is also the final day of HDB Financial Services’ IPO, which was fully subscribed on the second day of bidding. Watch for any potential block deals with the trading window closure in two days time.
