A guide to all the currencies you’ll get in Legion Remix

A guide to all the currencies you’ll get in Legion Remix

Legion Remix is live and with it another chance to level up a character while exploring expansions past. Like Mists of Pandaria Remix players can explore the Broken Isles with simplified gearing mechanics and some over-the-top power creep especially via the shared Artifact Weapon tree.

While leveling is easy — they’ve even added a hard mode for those who want something of a challenge — that doesn’t mean that ReLegion gets to escape the plethora of currencies that are added for each new event in World of Warcraft. Here’s a handy listing of all you may encounter while reliving the Burning Legion’s attack on Azeroth.

  • Bronze has returned as the main Remix currency for ReLegion but has been simplified for players. Instead of serving a dual purpose of increasing power and purchasing cosmetics like in ReMists, now Bronze exists solely to purchase collectibles — both originals from Legion and new ones added for the event. Bronze comes from everything you do and while buying all items will cost you a pretty coin it doesn’t seem like it’ll be tough to gather what you need over the course of the event. Note that Bronze can also come in caches that will sit in your inventory until you’ve opened them to add to your total. The currency is Warbound and can be transferred between characters via the normal method.
  • Infinite Power is how you progress your Artifact Weapon in ReLegion. Unlike Bronze this currency comes via looted items such as the Memento of Epoch Rituals, the Memento of Epoch Hope, and even the Memento of Epoch Fun; however the Infinite Power is immediately added to your Artifacts so you don’t need to do anything special to collect it. Since Infinite Power is tracked as a currency you can immediately apply it in full to any Artifact Weapon you equip so you don’t need to worry about one of your specs taking all of it. Infinite Power isn’t Warbound so alts will need to gather it for themselves.
  • Artifactium Sand is a special item used to upgrade the ilvl of your Artifact Weapon to help keep it updated to match the rest of your equipment. It’s an item that can be granted alongside or instead of Bronze or Infinite Power and sits in your inventory so be sure to use it as you soon as you get it to increase your weapon stats. It can’t be transferred to other characters so there’s no reason to hold on to it for later. The upgrade item is also available as the Mound of Artifactium Sand presumably with a larger increase in weapon ilevel.
  • Infinite Knowledge is an accountwide modifier to your Infinite Power gain: the more knowledge you have the more power you get from the Epoch items. It is earned by completing select achievements such as Unlimited Power, Lorerunner of Highmountain, or Trial of Valor. You can have a maximum of 36 Infinite Knowledge (any gained above that is automatically converted to Bronze) but all your characters are able to benefit from it so your alts will have an easier time empowering their Artifact Weapon.
  • Order Resources make a return in ReLegion despite the removal of their main function: fueling your class hall missions and followers. Although no new items to purchase have been added in Remix you’ll still be receiving Order Resources that can be used to purchase items in from your class hall vendors such as recolors of the original class hall mounts.

The simplification of Bronze usage is probably the biggest and best change of currencies in Remix. While players may not enjoy having to juggle another handful of currencies at least there won’t need to be any anxiety over how you use the currency — outside of choosing which items you want to purchase with Bronze first.
