Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: The Nifty rose 212 points to 24,577, closing above 24,500 for the first time since March 5, while the Sensex climbed 753 points to 79,273. Banking stocks led the rally, with HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank among the top contributors.

Among key movers, Nestle India surged 7% after an all-round Q4 beat, emerging as the top Nifty gainer. Trent rose 3% ahead of its results, while PNB Housing Finance and Groww gained after strong earnings, lifting peers such as LIC Housing Finance, up 5%. Bank of Maharashtra advanced 6% on healthy Q4 numbers.
On the downside, SBI Life Insurance fell 4% ahead of its results. SML Isuzu dropped 7% on margin pressures due to higher input costs, while Eris Lifesciences declined 4% after regulatory observations for its units.
