MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) – Country Roads Angel Network made a new announcement during this week’s entrepreneurship conference in Morgantown.
The Mountain State’s first accredited angel network announced three new investments in West Virginia startups totaling $195,000 with help from WVU men’s basketball head coach Ross Hodge.
Since the organization’s founding in 2020, CRAN has invested approximately $2 million across nearly 20 startups, leveraging an additional $20 million from other funding sources.
Earlier in the week, Secretary of State Kris Warner announced the Office of Entrepreneurship will open in July and he looks forward to what the Country Roads Angel Network can bring to the table.
“I think it’s all about connections and being able to introduce people and being able to introduce entrepreneurs that are maybe in a specific industry to someone in the foundation that has a real interest in that particular industry,” Warner said.
