PS6 price and release window is still undecided, but Sony reports “an increase in investments” into the next-gen PlayStation

Sony hasn’t formally announced its next-generation PlayStation console, but the PS6 era is seemingly inching ever closer as the company increases its investment into whatever its next console ends up being called.

Speaking on the company’s financial results for the last fiscal year, Sony says it expects its operating income to remain flat year-on-year “due to the incorporation of an increase in investments for the next-generation platform.” While the company didn’t specifically name drop PS6, naming conventions only point in one direction…
