Rural property near Taunton sold at auction for £327,000

A RURAL property in need of some major tender loving care near Taunton was sold for £327,000 at a recent West Country auction.

Home Farm, located in Henlade near Taunton, was the ‘standout sale’ at Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s May Land and Collective Property auction.

The two-bedroom cottage, in need of full modernisation, sold for £327,000—substantially above its guide price of £250,000, a spokesperson said.

The property is set in approximately three-quarters of an acre and includes a range of outbuildings.

Robert Baker, auctioneer at Greenslade Taylor Hunt, said: “It was great to see several lots sell well.

“Home Farm far exceeded expectations with bidding coming in online and in the room, and saw the hammer eventually fall at £327,000.”
