Brownwood development project expected to bring more than $20 million in investment
BROWNWOOD, Texas — Brownwood city leaders have approved incentives for a new mixed-use development expected to bring more than $20 million in investment to the city.
The project, led by Dallas/Fort Worth-based developer XForge, will include a hotel and more than 15,000 square feet of retail and commercial space along CC Woodson Road.

Officials said the development is expected to create jobs, expand lodging options, generate additional sales and hotel occupancy tax revenue, and encourage further commercial growth in the area.
More details, including the hotel brand, retail tenants and construction timeline, are expected to be announced as the project moves through the design and permitting process.
