Anthropic is joining in on the IPO fray to win tens of billions in capital and likely a valuation in the trillions. This IPO could significantly benefit Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Salesforce (NYSE:CRM), and Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG). Before we look into how, let’s take a look at the IPO first.
Anthropic’s decision for an IPO comes after SpaceX’s decision to debut on the stock market with a $1.75 trillion valuation. SpaceX owns xAI, so Anthropic will be the second major AI LLM company to debut on the stock market.
Many believe this could mark the “final leg” of the AI rally. You could see stock market valuations jump massively as revised index rules dictate that these companies will get a pie out of the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq faster than ever before.
A solid way to play this is not to find a backdoor into Anthropic before it goes public, but to invest in businesses that have found that backdoor before you ever could.
Here are three stocks that this IPO will likely drive up:
Amazon (AMZN)
It’s not hard to see Amazon seeing a windfall from Anthropic’s success, because this is the company that extended the most support to Anthropic. When Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) put its weight behind OpenAI during the early stages of AI, Amazon put its weight behind Anthropic.

Of course, these bigger companies ended up investing in almost everything related to AI, but Amazon has the largest stake. Amazon invested an initial $8 billion in cash, and the total is now ~$33 billion, though $20 billion of that is tied to “commercial milestones.”
Either way, this relatively small investment gives it a stake of up to 21% in Anthropic. If Anthropic debuts with a valuation of $1 trillion (will probably debut with more at this pace…), this turns into a $210 billion stake for Amazon.
And you need to consider the fact that Anthropic won’t stay stagnant at these valuations. If AI does take off, valuations may even balloon into multiple trillions. AMZN stock will likely ride the coattails of this growth.
