GOG Is Working on Expanding Its Regional Pricing; Here Is Everything We Know, As It Enquires About Potential Indian Rupee (INR) Support

GOG (Good Old Games), the digital game storefront owned by CD Projekt, could introduce regional pricing and support for Indian Rupees (INR) in the future.
The digital game storefront recently took to X to announce support for local currencies (RON, HUF, and ZAR) and regional pricing in Romania, Hungary, and South Africa. Alongside the announcement, GOG asked the community which currency they would like to see added next, stating, “Indian Rupees, or maybe Ukrainian UAH? Drop your requests below.”

While nothing has been officially confirmed, the post reportedly suggests that regional pricing and support for Indian Rupees (INR) could be introduced in the future.
Users on X reacted positively to the post, with many requesting regional pricing and local currency support for Indian Rupees (INR). One user stated, “Please add INR. I’d pick GoG over Steam if I could pay in INR,” while another user commented, “Definitely indian rupees with the option of UPI payment please!!!!”
While support for local currency and regional pricing would make purchases more convenient for Indian users, other digital game storefronts such as Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect and Steam already offer UPI as a payment method, making game purchases easier for players in India.
