BSE Q3 Results: Net profit doubles to Rs 108 crore
eading stock exchange BSE Ltd on Monday said its net profit doubled to Rs 108.2 crore in December quarter. In comparison, the exchange had posted a net profit of Rs 51.6 crore in the year-ago period, BSE said in a statement. The bourse achieved its highest quarterly revenue ever at Rs 431.5 crore in the October-December period of the current fiscal, marking a surge of 76 per cent from Rs 245 crore registered in the year-ago period.

Nifty Bank closes below 45,900; next support seen at 45,000-45,400
The Nifty Bank closed in the red for the second consecutive day in a row on Monday as investors preferred to book profits after the recent rally. The Nifty Bank fell 145 points to close at 45,825. The Nifty50 fell 82 points to close below 21800 levels.

Rupee ends weaker on dollar demand from oil companies, higher US bond yields
The Indian rupee closed lower on Monday weighed down by dollar demand from local oil companies and a jump in U.S. Treasury yields. The rupee ended at 83.0550 against the U.S. dollar, lower by 0.17% compared to its close of 82.9175 in the previous session. The dollar index rose to 104.26 in Asia hours, its highest level in almost two months. Asian currencies fell as well, with the Thai baht, Korean won and Malaysian ringgit all down 0.7%.

Snap-E Cabs raises $ 2.5 million, to add 300-400 EVs by FY24
Electric vehicle ride-hailing platform Snap-E Cabs on Monday said it has secured USD 2.5 million in a pre-series A round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The fresh funds will fuel talent acquisition, technology upgrades, new services and geographical expansion, officials said. It will enable Snap-E Cabs to add 300-400 EVs and expand to two-three new cities by the end of the current fiscal year, they said.

Gujarat state civic body accepts bids for maiden green bonds: Report
India’s Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has accepted bids worth Rs 2 billion ($24.1 million) for its debut green bonds maturing in five years, three bankers said on Monday. The city, situated in the Western state of Gujarat, has set a semi-annual coupon of 7.90%, and had invited bids from bankers and investors for the issue earlier in the day. SBI Capital Markets and Tipsons Consultancy Services are the arrangers for this issue.

January services growth at six-month high on robust demand -PMI
India’s dominant services sector expanded at the fastest pace in six months in January on robust demand, according to a business survey which also showed output prices rose at their slowest rate since February 2023 and optimism was at a four-month high.
