Property management firm launches sponsorships in Greenock

A PROPERTY management firm is deepening its ties with the Greenock community.

Newton Property Management, which has an Inverclyde office led by associate director Fraser Williamson, has launched a series of sponsorships and outreach programmes as part of its long-term commitment to the area.

The company manages privately owned shared apartment blocks, handling repairs, insurance, and contractor relationships.

Fraser, a Greenock resident himself, said: “Greenock is my home, so it matters to me that Newton is seen as a proper part of the community, not just a business operating here.

“We’ve got a brilliant team of locally based, experienced individuals and we’re focused on making property management as straightforward as possible for homeowners.”

As part of its community engagement, Newton has sponsored Greenock Golf Club and renewed its sponsorship of Greenock Wanderers RFC for a third season.

It has also supported the Greenock Telegraph’s Community Champion Awards and the Inverclyde Music Festival.

This outreach comes after Newton acquired the Morison Walker portfolio in December 2023 and established a dedicated office on Eldon Street.

Fraser said: “A lot of people still prefer to speak to someone face-to-face.

“That’s why having an office on Eldon Street matters.

“If a customer needs help, we’re here.

“Even if that means getting the jump-leads out to start someone’s car.”

The firm’s growing reputation has led to new contracts in nearby towns such as Largs.

Vincent Goldie, chief executive officer at Newton Property Management, praised the team’s progress.

He said: “Inverclyde is an important part of Newton’s future, and we are very proud of the progress Fraser and the team have made.

“Our ambition is to combine the standards, systems, expertise and support of a wider Scottish business with the convenience of a local team.”
