American Airlines is making new investments at its DFW International Airport hub, announcing Monday that it will build its largest Admirals Club ever, introduce a new grab-and-go lounge concept for Terminal F and introduce a special check-in process for Flagship customers.
The new 37,000-square-foot Admirals Club will be in Terminal C, where American recently opened the first phase of a $3 billion expansion at the airport. To put into perspective how massive that lounge space is, the new Admirals Club will be more than twice the size of the 18,000-square-foot lounge that Chase opened last week in Terminal D.
The club, American said, will include a variety of seating options and dedicated areas for work and relaxation. Guests can expect amenities like chef-inspired menu offerings, expanded all-day food selections and a premium beverage program that will feature specialty cocktails, spirits and even Champagne Bollinger.

The Admirals Club will expand American’s dominant lounge footprint at DFW Airport, where it frequently accounts for over 80% of flight operations. American currently has five Admirals Clubs and one Flagship Lounge at the busy travel hub. The announcement also continues a string of new lounge announcements. Earlier this year, American announced new Admirals Clubs in Austin and Nashville.
Terminal F’s first lounge
American has chosen to roll out its new grab-and-go lounge, Provisions by Admirals Club, inside the new Terminal F, which is under construction.
The lounge, which will be “part of the terminal’s initial phase,” will have a curated selection of fresh food, premium drinks and other travel essentials “in a streamlined setting designed for customers who want high-quality options while on the move,” a company statement said. American already has a Provisions by Admirals Club location at its Charlotte hub, with plans to open another location at New York’s JFK International Airport.
American said that the lounge is slated to be the first of the airline’s “suite of premium offerings planned for the new Terminal,” adding that it will share details about future offerings as plans continue to develop.

American has committed $4 billion to build out Terminal F, which will include its own ticketing and baggage claim. The 31-gate terminal will be operated exclusively by American. Last month, several restaurant leases were approved for the new terminal, giving insight into what food and beverage options customers might expect when it opens.
Premium flagship check-in
Later this year, American will also bring its premium Flagship check-in to DFW Airport, giving customers a more private on-the-ground experience before their flight.
The exclusive check-in space will be located near Terminal D’s D30 security checkpoint and offer a private check-in environment and individual assistance from the airline’s employees. American offers Flagship check-in at its hubs in Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami, as well as London Heathrow Airport.
