The well-known venue, which has been a valued part of the local community for many years, includes a 60-bedroom hotel, pub, restaurant and extensive events facilities.
Under its new ownership, Pastures Lodge will continue to operate as an independent hospitality business, with a commitment to maintaining its reputation while investing in its future.
Harry Sookun brings extensive experience in hospitality, finance, property investment and business management. He currently owns and operates established UK hospitality venues, including Stourport Manor Hotel and Westone Manor Hotel, where he has overseen investment and improvements to enhance guest experience, facilities and long-term sustainability.
With more than 40 years of business experience across hospitality, property and commercial ventures, Harry has built and managed businesses in the UK and internationally and holds directorships in a number of UK companies.
Speaking about the acquisition, Harry said: “Pastures Lodge is a fantastic business with a proud history and an important role within the local community. Our aim is to build on its strength, invest in its future and ensure it continues to be a place where people enjoy staying, dining, celebrating and creating memories.”
The transition to new ownership has been designed to be seamless, with the existing management team and staff remaining in place. Harry believes that maintaining local knowledge and experience is essential to preserving the character and service standards that customers value.
A key priority will be bringing the hotel, pub, restaurant and events operations together as one unified business, ensuring all departments work collaboratively to provide the best possible experience for guests.
“Although the hotel and pub operate from separate buildings, they are one business. By working together as one team, we can improve communication, strengthen our service and create new opportunities for the future.”
