Stock Market LIVE Updates: Today’s session is not only the weekly options expiry session for the Nifty 50 contracts, but is also set to see supply of paper worth nearly ₹36,000 crore, which includes the mega LIC Offer for Sale (OFS). Earnings season is drawing to a close and therefore, companies are making a beeline to report numbers as well. Adding to that is the confusion surrounding the Closing Auction Session. Stock Market LIVE updates: The Nifty 50 index enters today’s weekly options expiry session on the back of a confusing and chaotic start to the Closing Auction Session for stocks with Futures & Options contracts, which sent the index higher by 200 points in one tick and also left a divergence of over 100 points between the spot and futures prices. It remains to be seen how this price parity is restored at the start of today’s trading session. With the Nifty now at 24,800 in one tick, that will be the level to watch on the upside, while 24,600 – 24,500 zone could now act as a support. The Nifty Bank, which struggled to get past 57,500 all through last week, also went up over 500 points in one tick on Monday, closing above the 58,000 mark. The 58,500 level on the upside, followed by the recent swing high above 58,700 will be key to watch. Today will be a paper supply day, with the LIC OFS, blocks in Paytm and Meesho, along with a QIP launch from Arvind, along with other results like Bharti Airtel, Kalyan Jewellers, BSE, MCX and others.
