Altus Group Acquires UK Property Valuation Platform Valos

Altus Group has acquired Valos (U.K.) Limited, an AI-powered property valuation platform that connects commercial real estate valuers and mortgage lenders, expanding the company’s capabilities in digital valuation workflows for the UK market.

Toronto-based Altus (TSX: AIF), a provider of commercial real estate intelligence and the developer of ARGUS valuation software, said the acquisition strengthens its technology offering by adding an AI-native platform designed to automate the commercial property valuation process. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2020, Valos has built a platform that links valuation firms and lenders through a single workflow, supporting the process from valuation instruction through report delivery. The platform streamlines communication, data exchange, quality control and report production while creating audit-ready records designed to meet Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) compliance requirements.

According to Altus, Valos is used by more than 20% of UK commercial property valuers and has been adopted by several leading UK mortgage lenders. The platform is designed to reduce report turnaround times, improve valuation accuracy and strengthen compliance while creating centralized property data that supports portfolio analysis and risk management.

“Valos is a strong fit for Altus, expanding our capabilities in the valuation and lending workflow with AI-native technology that improves speed, accuracy and confidence in decision-making,” said Mike Gordon, CEO and chair of Altus Group. “Importantly, we’re strongly aligned in how we think about AI: as a way to reduce friction, surface better insights and increase the impact of expert judgement.”

Alex Kountourides, CEO and co-founder of Valos, said joining Altus will accelerate the company’s growth and product development.

“We see this as a natural next step: two organizations with shared clients, complementary technologies and a common ambition to modernize the valuation and lending workflow,” Kountourides said.

The acquisition expands Altus’ commercial real estate technology portfolio by integrating workflow automation alongside its existing valuation and performance analytics platforms, with a focus on improving collaboration between lenders and valuation professionals while maintaining existing governance and compliance standards.
