FACT is one of the biggest movers, as it is trading as the most active stock, with a volume of 1.7 crore shares that have been traded so far. This volume is 130 times its 10-day average.
It’s the first F&O expiry since the start of the closing auction session (CAS).
Market participants say today’s expiry could prove particularly challenging because of single-stock options. Even a sharp last-minute move during the auction can alter the settlement outcome, potentially pushing contracts from out-of-the-money to in-the-money status.
Since these contracts are physically settled, such swings could leave investors facing unexpected delivery obligations, requiring them to either deliver shares or arrange funds for settlement.
