Property data firm Cotality joins OPDA

Property data and software firm Cotality has become the latest member of the Open Property Data Association (OPDA), describing its membership as a “natural stepping stone” for the business.

Cotality has a database of more than 150 million property records spanning 25 years of transactional data, and monitors around 30.9 million residential properties in the UK every day to assess them for events that may impact value and risk.

The firm draws on more than 100 sources of data to support the work of estate agents, lenders, surveyors and conveyancers. Its Integrated Lender Hub also digitises workflows to speed up parts of the transaction process.

Mark Blackwell (pictured), chief operating officer at Cotality, said: “At Cotality, our mission is to make the UK property industry faster, smarter, and more people-centric. Through our integrated platforms – including our Lender Hub – we are already helping lenders and surveyors connect digitally, removing friction across the transaction chain.

“OPDA’s mission aligns directly with our strategic direction. We deliver significant parts of this data and digital connectivity on the ground today. Joining the association is a natural stepping stone, sharing our experience to help shape the framework needed to make home buying and selling faster, more reliable, and transparent for everyone.”

Maria Harris, chair of the OPDA, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Cotality to the OPDA. As one of the sector’s most established data and analytics providers, they bring deep technical expertise and proven integration across lenders and valuation networks.
