Dash Investments review
For more than 20 years, Dash Investments has provided advisory services that help investors protect their wealth and extend the life of their assets. The firm outlines what clients can expect: custom portfolio creation, a dedicated advisor, frequent communication and a four-pillar approach that combines financial planning, portfolio management and tax and income planning services.
The fee-only wealth management firm charges up to 1.25% of AUM. It typically works with clients who have at least $1 million in assets and focuses on those who are in or nearing retirement. Clients can meet with their advisor regularly, as needed, and will also receive quarterly updates, conference calls and annual reviews. If a client has feedback or a complaint, they might hear from president and owner of the firm, Jonathan Dash, who typically reaches out the same day to learn more. Client feedback isn’t the only place Dash is involved. He also reviews all accounts on a monthly basis or, sometimes, when a client requests.
Dash’s executive investment committee guides portfolio management with an investment strategy known as “value investing.” Made famous by Warren Buffett, this approach involves purchasing undervalued stocks, bonds and other investments selling at 60% or less of their intrinsic value. Basically, buying investments at a bargain. The strategy requires thorough field research, proprietary methodologies and expert analysis of companies’ operating histories, people and prices.
The firm allows clients to restrict specific industries and securities they don’t wish to include.
