MAPP appoints Colin Wilson as London adviser
MAPP has appointed former Cushman & Wakefield EMEA chief executive Colin Wilson as senior adviser to its London business. Wilson, whose previous leadership roles also included heading Cushman & Wakefield’s UK and Ireland operations, brings experience advising investors and developers on asset acquisitions, management and disposals. He will work with MAPP’s team to identify opportunities in London and provide strategic insight to support its growth.
Fisher German makes 50 promotions
Fisher German has promoted 50 colleagues across its business, including Jenny Occleshaw to partner within its planning team. Marc Strydom and Ellie Grant become associate partners in the infrastructure division, while Jack Harley and Ginny Banham take the same title in rural property management. Managing partner Andrew Bridge said the promotions recognised colleagues’ performance amid changing government policy and evolving markets.
Bidwells appoints Ed Britton as planning partner in Manchester
Bidwells has recruited Ed Britton from Deloitte as a planning and regeneration partner in its Manchester office. Britton brings nearly 20 years’ experience advising on strategic masterplans, tall buildings and major residential, commercial and R&D developments. He will lead the firm’s new Manchester planning team, focusing on major city centre projects and regeneration programmes across Greater Manchester and other regional cities.
SCAPE Group appoints Jack Garner as chief of staff
SCAPE Group has appointed former Football Association executive Jack Garner (pictured above) as chief of staff. Garner, who previously oversaw transformation programmes and business operations at The FA and spent eight years at Serco Leisure, will report to group chief executive Mark Robinson. He will lead SCAPE’s finance, legal, people, IT and procurement teams, strengthening collaboration across its central services and business subsidiaries.
Frankham Group appoints CFO, CTO and fire director
Frankham Group has appointed three senior leaders as it expands beyond London and the South East. Richard West joins as chief financial officer with more than 25 years’ senior finance experience, while Rob Hesmondalgh becomes the consultancy’s first chief technology officer, leading digitisation and efficiency improvements. Dan Quinn, who spent 25 years in the UK Fire and Rescue Service, joins its Birmingham office as director of fire at Frankham Risk Management Services.
Simple Life Management announces five senior hires
Sigma Capital’s in-house BTR operational arm, Simple Life Management, has announced five senior hires to support its next phase of growth. Adam Stephenson joins as director of operations, Michael Burgess as head of technology, Josh Foster as head of credit control and Joe Alderton as senior data analyst, all from Ascend. Emma Baker joins as head of people and culture from composite materials firm Cristex.
GRE Capital strengthens its origination team
Real estate lender GRE Capital has hired James Meigh as head of origination and Alex Stephens as business development manager, both from Recognise Bank. Meigh brings more than 36 years’ banking experience, while Stephens has more than 20 years’ experience in commercial and corporate banking. The expanded team will seek to grow GRE Capital’s real estate loan book across bridging, structured finance, term debt and development finance.
Hillwood appoints Sam Pearson as development manager
Hillwood has recruited Sam Pearson (pictured above) from Avison Young as development manager to support its growing UK industrial and logistics portfolio. Previously an associate director at Avison Young, Pearson brings industrial and logistics leasing experience and will oversee leasing across Hillwood’s existing assets. Reporting to vice-president Greg Dalton, he will also support the identification, acquisition and delivery of development projects.
