KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Neighborhood leaders, nonprofits and businesses packed into Kansas City, Kansas, on Saturday, focused on turning unity into real investments.
The 2026 Community Unity Leadership Summit is a free event bringing together connections across Wyandotte County. It was an opportunity to hear about the work happening to strengthen neighborhoods, support families, celebrate culture and improve the quality of life.
“There’s been a lot of good momentum and just building to bring a lot of attention and economic activity and community building in the area. One of the things that we see that we can help with is just how do we make people aware of everything? There’s so much good happening.”
Organizers say the summit is designed to life up local voices and connect people with resources, from small-business support to neighborhood projects, all aimed at strengthening families and safety across eastern Wyandotte County
