Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are under colossal pressure, as the Nifty trades with a major cut of close to 200 points, falling below the 22,400 mark. The Nifty Bank is down 400 points, below 54,000. Shriram Fin, Tata Consumer, and Asian Paints are the biggest laggards.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are under pressure, with the benchmark indices and the broader market feeling the heat of the bears. The Nifty is down nearly 200 points, falling below the 22,400 mark, intraday. The Sensex is down over 400 points, falling below the 72,700 mark.
A key thing to monitor will be whether the Midcap and Smallcap indices manage to stage a recovery after last week’s brutal sell-off. For the Nifty, the 22,500 – 22,400 mark will be key to defend for the bulls, while higher levels around 22,800 may continue to see supply pressure.
The Nifty Bank is also down, falling nearly 400 points.
For the Nifty Bank, the bulls would want to first take it past 54,500 on the upside, else a break below 54,000 could accelerate the selling pressure. Kotak Bank, IDFC First Bank, IndusInd Bank, will all react to results. Infosys will be the big result reaction of the day.
