Belarus Introduces Innovations On Traffic Rules And Currencies

What’s going to change in September?

Some banks have announced that they will be introducing changes for customers next month – among them are currency innovations. “Mirror” has compiled a selection of innovations in September, which may affect the thickness of wallets.

Innovations from banks

“Belgazprombank, for example, will reduce the cost of issuing Mastercard Black Edition and World Elite Mastercard from September 1 – to Br500 and Br1,000, respectively.

Belgazprombank will also suspend the conclusion of new contracts with individuals on trust money management from September 10.

Banks have introduced innovations for cards – details

Zepterbank will change the commission for non-cash transfer of currency to individuals’ accounts from September 15. From this date, it will amount to 2.3% of the transfer amount (minimum – 20 rubles).

“MTBank” will introduce an innovation from September 16. Thus, the financial institution will cease to charge a commission for repayment of the debt on the loan of another bank at the cash desk via ERIP, if the payment is made at the expense of the loan of “MTBank”. At the same time, the fee for accepting a payment at the cash desk of MTBank via ERIP will increase from 5 to 10 rubles from September 16.

Adjustments to traffic rules

September 1, changes to traffic rules will be introduced. Bicyclists will be required to dismount at crosswalks. All-season tires will not be allowed in winter. Among other things will be allowed tinting of rear windows of cars. Fines will be imposed for violations of the updated traffic rules.

Take time to pay for textbooks

Before October 1, it is necessary to pay for school textbooks. In the 2025/2026 school year their cost is 0.5 basic. Thus, a set of books for pupils in grades 1-11 will cost 21 rubles.
