In case you wanted even more currencies in Marvel Rivals, for whatever odd reason, your wish will be granted! According to a new leak, NetEase will add two new currencies for the upcoming event. Fortunately, these will be available only for a limited time.

As fun as the game is, it has too many currencies already, which makes things quite complicated for beginners. While we are hoping that the Marvel Rivals development team will make the currency system less complex in the future, we will have to use new ones over the next few weeks.

Two new currencies are coming to Marvel Rivals, shows leak

According to psylocke.gg, NetEase is adding two new currencies soon. Both of these will be event currencies which will be usable from May 7 to May 21.

The first currency is called Vote Token, and it will be used to cast votes for the ultimate Gala Star. In other words, players will use this currency to vote for the hero who will receive a new costume next year. Vote Tokens will be obtainable by completing missions, and players will also be able to get them by converting X-Coins, another new currency. Fancy, right?

X-Coin is somewhat similar to Vote Token, as it’s obtainable through challenges and Hellfire Gala missions. These coins also let players draw gifts during the limited-time event, and there is also a chance that they will be obtainable by converting another currency, such as Lattice. If you are low on this premium currency, rate in-game heroes for a chance to win some!

NetEase has recently introduced Unstable Molecules and Costume Coins, two new currencies for customizing and acquiring skins. Additionally, Lattice, Units, and Chrono Tokens are other permanent currencies in the game. Looking ahead, it’s hard to say what Marvel Rivals will be like in two years, but we hope the developers will eventually simplify the currency system.
