In 2024, the population bought USD 11,054.4 million more than it sold.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2023, the population bought USD 3,362.1 million more than it sold.
According to the results of 2022, the population bought currencies for USD 1,009.5 million more than it sold.
In 2021, the population sold USD 1,214.7 million more in currency than it bought.
In 2020, the volume of cash currency sales exceeded the volume of purchases by USD 1.098 billion.
Dragon Capital expects a slight weakening of the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar in the second half of this year. The National Bank has introduced managed exchange rate flexibility from October 3, 2023. The NBU has abolished all currency restrictions on the import of works and services and allowed the repatriation of “new” dividends.
