Not on Good Friday, even though the religious holiday is not considered a federal holiday.
Here’s what will be open or closed on Good Friday from banks and USPS mail delivery to the stock market:
Good Friday is not specified by law to be one of the 12 federal holidays recognized in 2026, according to opm.gov.
The stock markets on New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq are closed for trading on Good Friday, April 3, 2026. The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association also recommended an early close at noon EST for the holiday.
Most banks will be open on Good Friday, April 3, 2026, according to The Federal Reserve.
The United States Postal Service will be open, and mail will be delivered on Good Friday, April 3, 2026.
FedEx and FedEx Freight will have modified service on Good Friday, April 3, 2026, but all other delivery options are expected to operate as normal.
UPS Store is open and UPS delivery and pickup services are available on Good Friday, April 3, 2026.
Good Friday is a state holiday in Indiana. State government offices will be closed.
Some schools may close on Good Friday, but several will remain open in Indiana. Be sure to check with your local school for details.
