Park Middle claims first place in SIFMA Foundation Stock Market Game


WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Students representing a number of Mountain State schools have been recognized for their participation in the SIFMA Foundation’s Stock Market Game.

Described as an online simulation of the global capital markets that engages students grades 4-12 in the world of economics, investing and personal finance and the Stock Market Game serves as an extension of the SIFMA Foundation’s ongoing mission of fostering knowledge of the financial markets in students.

Teachers and students across the state prioritized financial education and participated in the SIFMA Foundation’s Stock Market Game program this Fall,” read a statement from Marion County Schools.

“We are so grateful to partner with passionate educators that advance financial capability, economic equity, and opportunity for all youth!”

Fall 2023 winners for the SIFMA Foundation’s Stock Market game include the following:

Elementary School:

First Place – Mannington

 

Middle School:

First Place – Park Middle School, Beckley

Second Place – Mountaineer Middle School, Clarksburg

 

High School:

First Place – Capital High School, Charleston

Second Place – Marion County Technical Center, Farmington
