Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets delivered negative returns for the third consecutive week on Friday, a trend last seen three months ago. The midcap index gave up Thursday’s gains today, dropping 836 points to 53,263, and the Nifty Bank index ended 221 points lower at 48,368.

Both the Sensex and the Nifty slipped 0.5% over the week, while the Nifty Bank index shed 0.4%. The broader markets bore the brunt of the sell-off, with the midcap index declining by 2% and the small-cap index plunging 4%, reflecting significant weakness outside the benchmark indices. At the close of trading on Friday, the Sensex fell by 330 points to 76,190, while the Nifty slipped 113 points to settle at 23,092.

ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, Yes Bank, DLF Limited, JK Cement, Macrotech Developers and NTPC Green Energy will be in focus in today’s session.
