Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian benchmark indices opened today’s session lower and continue to extend their losses. Nifty has declined over 300 points, Sensex has declined over 900 points and Nifty Bank is down 1,100 points.
Nifty Bank too is down 1,100 points. Metal stocks are under pressure, and have extended the day’s slide.
PG Electroplast told CNBC-TV18 that LPG shortage may impact its guidance for FY26 as it is impacting its production lines.
Every upmove on the Nifty is getting sold into. That has been the texture of this market for most parts of the last two weeks and the previous session was no different.
Adding to that is the return of oil at $100 a barrel, despite the US allowing temporary purchase of Russian oil already at sea.
For the Nifty, which has already entered a “technical correction,” Thursday’s panic low of 23,556 is the first important level traders are watching on the downside, while on the upside, 23,800 and 24,000 emerge as potential supply zones.
The Nifty Bank has been an index of concern as it has corrected nearly 7,000 points from its record high levels.
Oil sensitives rmeain in the spotlight, while other names like BSE, Balaji Amines, Max Financial Services, are also in focus today.
