Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are fighting an extreme bear attack as the Nifty index falls over 250 points. The Nifty Bank is also down, falling 1,110 points, dropping to 57,600. IndiGo, ICICI Bank and L&T are among the biggest laggards.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian market is back in the red, and after a breather of a session, the Nifty index is down about 270 points, falling towards 24,500. The Sensex index is down over 1000 points, drifting further away from 79,000.
The bigger worry is oil prices, with Brent having made an intraday high above $86, while the US crude closed above $81 per barrel after surging 8.5% last night.
For Nifty, 24,500 continues to hold the key for the index, while for the Nifty Bank, 60,000 remains distant, as the index will fight to first hold 59,000 and then 58,500 on the downside.
Some of the biggest losers among the Nifty 500 stocks include LT Foods, Tejas Networks, Vedant Fashions, Cohance Life, Ashok Leyland among others.
