Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty looks scarily close to falling below the 25,000 yet again as the post result euphoria dissipates.
The earnings season is doing what it usually promises, moving the market with the balance sheet. After the heavyweights ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank’s performance yesterday, another bigwig, namely, Eternal (Zomato), is carrying the day’s trade.
The shares of Eternal have surged by 10%. The Sensex is also trading with a rise of about 150 points. The Nifty Bank index after crossing the 57,000 mark, has come down from its moments of gains, with private banking stocks holding the gains.
Apart from Eternal, its rival, Swiggy, is also trading with major gains of 7%. MRPL and Info Edge, owing to their stakes in Eternal, are trading high.
The Nifty Pharma and the constituent pharma stocks are trading with cuts, further indicating a broader decline. The Nifty Midcap and Smallcap indices are also trading with deficits.
