Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty Bank, after a slowdown yesterday, is trading in green with gains of 127.30 points, or 0.22%, taking the overall value to 56,756.40.
At the halfway mark, the Indian markets are trading with relatively healthy gains. The Nifty index crossed the 25,200 mark for the first time since October 2024. The Sensex also made gains of 320.90 points, or 0.39%.
The Nifty Bank, after a slowdown yesterday, is trading in green with gains of 127.30 points, or 0.22%, taking the overall value to 56,756.40.
Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) shares rose by over 12%. Meanwhile, the Nifty index’s surge was led by Reliance Industries.
Earlier in the day, the indices opened relatively flat, as the Indian markets started the day with caution amid uncertainties. The Nifty index opened at 25,134.15, higher than its previous day’s closing. The Nifty index opened for the day’s trade with a deficit of 1,143.2 points. The Sensex index also opened relatively quietly at 82,473.02, higher than its previous day’s closing.
United Spirits shares declined by over 5%, while Sula Wine and GM Breweries shares rose significantly after the Maharashtra government’s decision to hike excise duty.
