Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian equities begin the new trading week amidst continuing uncertainties over a potential trade deal with the US as the reciprocal tariff deadline of July 9 nears. However, the Trump administration had added to the uncertainties by saying that tariffs would go back to April levels on August 1, without formally acknowledging that this is an extension of the earlier deadline.

Back home, the Nifty did end higher on Friday, marked by a strong recovery in the second half of the session. The index closed above the mark of 25,400 again, although the bulls continue to lack conviction at higher levels. While tariffs remain a key focus area, earnings are the other major talking point.

A slew of FMCG companies, from Dabur to Godrej Consumer to Nykaa, among others, announced their business updates after market hours and over the weekend, and all of them would see a reaction in today’s trade.

Banking names like IndusInd Bank, Bank of India, and IDBI Bank will also react to their business update. Watch out for the Nifty Bank and capital market names like Angel One, Nuvama Wealth, and peers today after Friday’s fall.
