Britannia’s Consolidated Sales for the Quarter ended 30th June 2026 stands at Rs 4,964 Crores, growing 9.5% and Net Profit stands at Rs 593 Crores, growing 14.1% over the same period last year. The Standalone Sales for the Quarter grew 10.0% over the same period last year.

The Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of Rs 90.5 per share of face value Re. 1/- each.

To ensure fair treatment of borrowers during the recovery process, the RBI has issued comprehensive instructions to lenders, including asking them to contact/ visit a borrower/ guarantor only between 08:00 hours and 19:00 hours, and to avoid inappropriate occasions, such as bereavement in the family or medical emergencies, for making calls/ visits. Crude Oil Prices Today LIVE: Oil rises on concerns over Strait of Hormuz reopening plans

Oil continued its rise on Friday amid further concerns around the opening of the Strait of Hormuz as Iran, working with Oman, suggested banning ‌vessels deemed hostile from the strait and heavily fining those who violated the proposed rules.

Brent crude ⁠futures rose 99 cents, or 1.2%, to $83.48 a barrel by 0010 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate futures rose 85 cents, or ‌1.1%, to $78.84. Oil futures settled up at over $3 a barrel on Thursday as Iran reviewed a bill ‌to ban U.S. and Israeli vessels from the ‌Strait of ⁠Hormuz where roughly a fifth of the world’s ⁠oil and liquefied natural gas transmitted before the war began at the end of February. Prices fell earlier in the week as a possible solution to the ongoing conflict ‌looked more likely but benchmark Brent breached $80 on Thursday after falling below that for the first time since July 13. Gold price today Live: Gold heads for strongest week since January, US payrolls data in focus

Gold steadied on Friday and was on track for its biggest weekly gain since January, helped by weaker oil prices, while investors awaited key U.S. ‌nonfarm payrolls data for clues on the interest rate outlook. 

Spot gold was little changed ⁠at $4,235.57 per ounce, as of 0045 GMT, but was up 4.8% for the week. U.S. gold futures fell 0.1% to $4,293.80

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) plans to launch an AI-enabled multilingual investor awareness campaign through WhatsApp and other digital platforms, roll out a nationwide financial literacy initiative under Project Jagrook, and simplify nomination norms for demat accounts and mutual fund folios in FY27 as part of a broader push to simplify regulations, deepen capital markets and reduce compliance burden.

Stock Market Live: Bulls hold ground as D-Street stays cautious; defence stocks fire up

Markets ended Thursday’s session on a flat note, with the headline indices masking a sharper story beneath the surface, a nearly 3 per cent surge in defence stocks and a four-session-old structural quirk that is cleaving the Sensex and Nifty apart at close.

The Nifty 50 settled at 24,636, up just 11.35 points or 0.05 per cent, after oscillating in a 73-point band through the session. The Sensex, however, closed at 78,954.76, up 0.48 per cent, a gap of roughly 43 basis points between the two benchmarks that has now persisted for four straight sessions since the NSE introduced its Closing Auction Session (CAS) on August 3. Market observers say the divergence reflects differences in institutional order flow and auction-window liquidity between the two index baskets, rather than any fundamental disconnect.
