The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq will close at 1 p.m. ET Wednesday, Dec. 24, and reopen the normal times on Friday morning after the holiday.
After Thursday, the stock market schedule will be business as usual until the markets close early again on New Year’s Eve and remain closed Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026.

The New York Stock Exchange will open at normal hours but will close at 1 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Dec. 24.
NYSE American Equities, NYSE Arca Equities, NYSE National, and NYSE Texas late trading sessions will close at 5 p.m.
Is the stock market open on Christmas Day?
No.
What time does Nasdaq close on Christmas Eve?
Nasdaq will open for normal trading hours but will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
What time does the U.S. bond market close on Christmas Eve?
The U.S. bond market will close at 2 p.m. ET Wednesday, according to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and will remain closed through Christmas.
What time does over-the-counter trading close on Christmas Eve?
Over-the-counter trading, which is done without an exchange, will close at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and remain closed until normal opening hours Friday.
