Dow, S&P 500, Nasdaq waver after CPI print shows slowest pace of inflation since 2021

April's Consumer Price Index (CPI) report showed inflation pressures eased in the first month that many of President Trump's tariffs were in effect. The latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that consumer prices increased 2.3% over the prior year in April, a slowdown from March's 2.4% and below economists' forecast for 2.4%. Indian rupee opens stronger against US dollar

Mumbai: The Indian rupee opened 75 paise stronger at 84.65 against the US dollar on Tuesday, following its previous close at 85.38 a dollar. The trading range for the day was expected to be between 84.50 and 85.25, according to analysts. The dollar maintained its gains following a significant trade pact between the US and China.
