Socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani wants to hike property taxes for “richer and whiter neighborhoods” in an eyebrow-raising proposal that aims to ease the burden on homeowners in the outer boroughs. Joseph Neumeyer, 28, was arrested for allegedly attempting to firebomb the US Embassy branch in Tel Aviv and making death threats against President Donald Trump, federal prosecutors announced Sunday. Neumeyer was taken into custody by FBI agents at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City after being deported from Israel. Authorities say Neumeyer traveled to Israel in April.
