With Hexham recently being named one of the happiest places to live in Great Britain, you might be wondering if there are any properties for sale in the area.
The Northumberland town featured in the Happy at Home Index published by Rightmove.
The index asked residents how they feel about their area and was completed this year by over 26,000 people based on 13 happiness factors.
This included a broad range of factors, from how you feel about living in the area to how happy people are with local activities and amenities.
Hexham’s average house asking price in 2023 was £317,359 and the average asking rent per calendar month was £957.
The study found that feeling a sense of pride, belonging, and community is most likely to contribute to feeling happy to live in an area, more so than having access to things like public transport, schools and job opportunities.
If you’re interested in moving to Hexham or its surrounding area to find your dose of happiness, here are some current properties on the market through Galbraith.
