A Place In The Sun star Leah Charles-King has offered an insight into shooting the popular Channel 4 series. The 32 year old TV presenter recently shared a harrowing experience during production when she found herself ‘trapped’ in a bathroom.
Leah gave her followers a behind-the-scenes look at filming challenges by posting a video on social media. She revealed that it took the crew a worrying 30 minutes to notice her absence.
The footage begins with Leah’s voice from behind the door, saying: “I’m trapped in the bathroom. Hello.” She then turns the camera on herself, exclaiming: “Seriously I can’t get out.”
The presenter captioned her post: “This was the luxe property where I got TRAPPED in the bathroom for 30 minutes before anyone even realised I was missing! ! ! ! #aplaceinthesun.”

The incident quickly sparked reactions from fans, with one suggesting, “That’s your card for Would I Lie To You? sorted.”
Leah responded: “Good call! Saving this if I’m ever asked, cos my brain is a sieve.” Keeping the mood light, another follower remarked on her calm demeanour with: “That very calm ‘hello'”.
To which Leah joined in the laughter and responded: “I’d be screaming for hourssssssss.” accompanied by three laughing emojis, reports the Mirror.
It comes as Leah previously opened up about her long-standing battles with mental health issues. The former member of ’90s girl band Kleshay detailed her distressing journey through symptoms that pushed her to the edge, grappling with thoughts of suicide and depression.
Leah, despite being on antidepressants prescribed by her GP, found herself in a harrowing situation where she considered taking her life from the eighth floor of a building. Fortunately, a friend was able to intervene and prevent a tragedy.
In an interview with the Express, Leah shared her ordeal: “If I didn’t get help today, I knew what I was going to do and so I wrote this note and I plucked up the last bit of strength that I had to go into what I believed was my final battle.”
She described the emotional moment at the clinic: “I remember standing in this queue in tears – silent tears – and when I got to the front of the queue to reception, I just passed this note across the desk [saying] ‘I’m suicidal and I need help now.
“If you send me home, I’m going to kill myself’. It was that blunt and obviously, it was all panic stations.”
