IHG Hotel & Resorts will open its first Vignette Collection property in the UK next month, with the debut of The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool.
The Vignette Collection forms part of IHG’s expanding Luxury & Lifestyle range of hotels. The company said the 133-room property in Liverpool would open in late February in the city’s historic Ropewalks district.
The Halyard, which has been built on the “footprint” of former 18th century rope-making warehouses, also features a 200-seat restaurant and bar, while the hotel’s walls will be adorned with artworks from local artists. The property was first announced by IHG last year.
Tom Rowntree, vice president of luxury and lifestyle brands at IHG, said: “It is a milestone moment to see the first hotel within Vignette Collection open its doors in the UK.
“This brand gives IHG a compelling way to welcome one-of-a-kind hotels into our family, combining each property’s distinctive identity with the brand’s promise of ‘A Means For Good’, together with the power of IHG’s global scale and our loyalty programme.”
Vignette Collection was only set up IHG in August 2021 and currently includes six hotels open around the world with a further 19 properties in the development pipeline. The company is targeting the opening of 100 new Vignette hotels in the next 10 years.
