Inside UK’s ‘most expensive’ property priced at staggering £80million

The priciest property you can currently buy in the UK has been revealed – and it is of course in London. This prestigious five-bedroom penthouse has been put up for sale at a whopping £80 million guide price, making it the most expensive home on the market right now.

The spacious apartment is found in Knightsbridge, a posh residential and retail district in central London, which had an average house price of £3,143,859 over the last year. The majority of sales in Knightsbridge during the last year were flats, selling for an average price of £2,391,423, according to Rightmove.

Marketed by estate agents Park Lord as a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of the most extraordinary properties in London’, the penthouse well exceeds the area’s average house price, and would require a staggering £8,000,000 deposit to secure it, based on 10 percent.

As you would hope to expect, with its steep price comes approximately 9,500 square foot of living space with panoramic views across London. It also features a private terrace with its own outdoor swimming pool.

Situated within The Knightsbridge Apartments, notably London’s ‘most exclusive development’, the building itself offers the ‘epitome of luxury living’ with first-class security and leisure facilities.

Inside the apartment boasts five bedrooms, each with their own en-suites, as well as the master bedroom featuring a dressing room, and a second bedroom having its own sauna. The living space is largely open-plan with a huge kitchen, dining and living area, as well as a separate cinema room.

Cassandra Leisz, Creative Director at innovative interiors brand, Ruggable, has shared her expertise on how the property uses interior design to create a minimalist, luxury style.

“When you look at the interior design of the penthouse, it combines key interior techniques that contribute to creating a modern luxury style,” Cassandra said. “The most notable interior aspect of the property is the use of metallic decor and mirrored detailing through the furnishings.

“Metallic and mirrored furnishings work as light reflectors, helping to improve the light within the room which, in turn, makes the room appear larger and brighter. The texture of metallic decor is also synonymous with high-end styling and adds a touch of opulence to a room.”
