Gemma Dawe has been listed in the Chambers Buying Agents High Net Worth Guide 2025.
The guide identifies her as one of the UK’s leading property buying agents and commends her for delivering a “unique” service with “utmost client care.”
Ms Dawe said: “To be recognised by Chambers and Partners, one of the most respected legal and property directories, is a true honour.”
The recognition comes after she was recognised by Spears, the magazine for ultra-high net worth individuals, and being named a finalist in the Enterprise Vision Awards, which are set to take place in September and are the UK’s largest female business awards.
All of this comes as her business marks its fifth anniversary.
Ms Dawe said: “So much is happening this year.
“It follows the Spears listing and being a finalist in the Enterprise Vision Awards, and as we celebrate five years in business.
“Many small and medium-sized businesses don’t make it to five years so that has always been a benchmark for me.
“It’s a great achievement.”
Founded in 2020, Lake District Relocation Ltd specialises in sourcing high-value homes and luxury properties across the Lake District, typically ranging from £800,000 to £10 million.
Ms Dawe relies on her network of contacts to find both on-market and off-market opportunities.
She said: “I was a market disrupter when I came along.
“Now I am recognised nationally and am involved in some exciting national projects which are coming up.”
Earning a place in the Chambers guide followed a rigorous nine-month assessment process.
Ms Dawe said: “The process to even be considered by Chambers is one of the hardest I have been through.
“They want to know everything about you.
“I had to provide evidence throughout, and they spoke to clients and the professional people I deal with.”
Ms Dawe, highlighting the global reach of the guide, said: “The Chambers guide is worldwide and so it is relied upon by people all over the world to make decisions on advisors they will use here in the UK.”
The Chambers listing describes Lake District Relocation Ltd as “an experienced guide, helping affluent families find and secure homes or countryside retreats in the Lake District.
“They are unique – a true concierge and agency service which upholds the utmost client care on emotional and high-value transactions.
“We liked their deep local knowledge and strong relationships with tradespeople – and how responsive and straightforward they were throughout.”
Ms Dawe is also the regional lead for Propertymark, the professional standards body for property agents.
She said: “It is part of me holding myself to a higher standard and making sure I give clients peace of mind that they are with someone who is working at the top of their game.”
Born in Windermere and now living near Kendal, Ms Dawe credits her success to her deep roots in the region.
She said: “I can find properties and provide opportunities for clients which others can’t, and which can be very difficult for a buyer to do themselves.”
