A suspect has been charged over the death of a man at a house in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency crews were alerted to the death of Martin Forgie, 36, at the property in Ellon’s Gordon Place at about 8.35pm on Wednesday.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
The suspect is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.
Police Scotland said a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course, and that Mr Forgie’s family are being supported by specialist officers.
Mr Forgie was from Maud in the region.
In a statement released through the force, his family said: “Martin was a much-loved son, brother, father, nephew, grandson and uncle. He will be greatly missed.
“We ask for our privacy as a family to be respected at this difficult time.”

Detective Inspector Rory Campbell said officers will remain in the area while the police investigation continues.
He added: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Forgie’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.”
