Meghan Markle’s Netflix cookery show ‘won’t be filmed at her house with Prince Harry’

Meghan Markle‘s new cooking show is reportedly set to disappoint fans who were hoping to get a closer look inside her Montecito home she shares with Prince Harry and their kids.

For the first time, the former actress is set to film a solo series for Netflix that has been described as a show that will “celebrate the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship”.

The series was announced last month shortly after the Duchess of Sussex’s American Riviera Orchard brand had been announced.

However, rather than the new series being filmed inside their huge property, it’s claimed another property in their expensive neighbourhood will be used for shooting. A source told Daily Mail: “Netflix has rented a house in Montecito for filming.”

It’s news that will likely disappoint her fans who had been hoping to get an inside look on the Sussex’s family abode, that includes nine bedrooms and 19 bathrooms. The property is also said to boast a gym, bar and garage big enough to fit five cars.

While there are reports of filming taking place elsewhere, the Mail also says the filming is to start today, April 16. It’s the latest project by the Sussexes with the major streaming brand. Elsewhere in their multi-million-pound deal which comes to an end next year, they have lined up a documentary about professional polo, a sport that Harry loves.

According to Netflix, Harry and Meghan will be executive producers on the series. It describes the project as something that will “provide viewers [with] unprecedented access to the world of professional polo”.

Both Harry and Meghan were recently snapped at a charity match at the Royal Salute Polo Challenge at the Grand Champions Polo Club. Cameras were said to be rolling at the event and the couple shared a passionate kiss.

The Sentebale Polo Cup, the charity event they were attending, is held every year in aid of Sentebale. It’s a charity Harry co-founded in 2006 and supports young people and children living in southern Africa. For the event, Harry captained the Royal Salute Sentebale Team against the Grand Champions Team, with his team winning triumphantly.
