Stacey Solomon has reportedly been turning her attention to a property portfolio after the former X Factor star and Loose Women panelist continues to be a success in business
TV star Stacey Solomon seems to have the golden touch when it comes to business and her latest projects are proving no different. The reality TV star, who first rose to fame aged 19 on the X Factor, has been successful with her ventures to date.
Not only has she had a successful singing career, but she has also sold homeware and books, while creating a great reputation on screen thanks to shows alongside her family and stints on the likes of Loose Women. But, away from the camera, she has reportedly racked up an impressive property portfolio, too.
The 35-year-old star is thought to own four properties, expanding her portfolio over the past four years. They are now said to be worth in the region of £6million.
She currently lives in her Essex mansion, which she has named Pickle Cottage, with Joe Swash and their kids. The five-bedroom home, which she bought in 2021, is a lavish spot with around 2.5 acres worth of land and includes a swimming pool.
The property, which is said to be solely in Stacey’s name, was bought for £1.2.million. Similar properties in the area are currently said to be valued upwards of £2million.
According to the Sun, accounts that were filed this week show Stacey’s firm, Key Map Entertainments, has bought £1million worth of property in the financial year of 2023/24. The legal documents refer to “fixed investments”, which is a term that is usually used following the purchase of either land or buildings.
The accounts from the previous year showed the business had acquired £800k in homes, while the financial year of 2021/22 indicated around £1.5million worth of property investments. It’s thought her current portfolio of properties would be worth in the region of £6million.
Stacey and Joe have recently launched a new reality TV series on BBC. The couple made the decision to welcome the cameras into their home for Stacey And Joe, which gives fans a glimpse behind the scenes at their extravagant mock Tudor home, Pickle Cottage.
However, the series, which aired its first episode this week, has been met with mixed reviews. Some fans have hit out at former EastEnders star Joe.
During episode one, Stacey was seen reminding her husband, 43, who was away on a fishing trip, that she had an important business meeting the next morning at 10am to discuss a perfume launch. “I’m going to try and get home for 10,” he said.
His comments angered Stacey, who responded: “What do you mean try? Otherwise I’ve got to change the meeting.” She added: “Why is ‘try my hardest’ even part of that sentence?”, when Joe explained he would attempt to get home on time. But things didn’t stop there, despite Joe being away, he said if Stacey woke him up, he would be there.
Viewers were then left stunned as Joe returned home five hours late. This left Stacey juggling planning her perfume launch while looking after their young children. Stacey and Joe share children Rex, five, Rose, three, and two-year-old Belle. While Stacey also has sons Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, from previous relationships and Joe has son Harry, born in 2007, from a previous romance.
One user on social media wrote: “It’s impossible to dislike Joe Swash. But his utterly chaotic approach to looking after five kids turns this reality show into a nightmarishly stressful watch.”
