Two-bed house looks like a steal for £95,000 – until you step inside and see weird detail
Home-hunters have been left baffled when looking at a £95k property online – but the reason for the cheap price tag becomes apparent when you look inside the house
Everybody’s dream home will look different, but everybody can agree that £95,000 for a two-bed property is seriously cheap.
From the outside, the end-of-terrace house looks nice, with light blue exterior paint, but when you step inside, that’s when it becomes apparent why the house has a small price tag.
The whole downstairs of the Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, property looks like a garage because it’s full of spare car parts, despite the fact the bedrooms are decent size, needing only new carpets and a lick of paint. The bathroom also needs some TLC, but the downstairs needs more rearranging.
In the lounge, unusually, there are two tall stacks of car tyres, with one in front of the sofa and another propped up against a sideboard.
Two old back seats from a motor also provide extra places to sit in the lounge, which isn’t how many people would choose to decorate their homes. An orange car jack can also be seen on the ground in the pictures, and there are also three more spare tyres lurking in the kitchen, next to the sink.
Someone joked that they could “definitely see this new interior design concept catching on. Car tyres artfully scattered throughout, even gracing the kitchen, and car seats re-purposed as chic sofas. This truly is peak comfort and style.” Another said that “unfortunately” they knew a few “car people that would swoon over this.” The property is being sold by Mooved and advertised on Rightmove, and the listing makes no mention of the car parts in the house.
The description reads: “This property has a very simplistic, spacious open design and high ceilings throughout. With a side entrance to enter, there is a large living/reception room to begin with, complete with large bay windows allowing lots of natural light into the room. Next is a great-sized kitchen with a tiled floor, and a modern finish at the rear of the property.”
It adds: “A central staircase leads to the first floor where there is first the large master bedroom, a wonderfully sized room, complete with bay windows and offering copious amounts of space. There is a spare room which is of a good size offering plenty of liveability with its own large windows looking over the side of the property. Lastly, there is a large house bathroom complete with a toilet, sink, bath and shower. There is a small enclosed space running around the front and side of the property allowing a variety of uses.
“There is on-street parking surrounding both sides of the property. The property would benefit from some updating but offers all the desirable aspects of being a great investment/project opportunity. It will not be around for long. This property is tenanted on a £500 pcm rolling tenancy agreement.”
