A modern flat with a beautiful balcony and a semi-detached house with a long back garden are among the Bristol properties currently for sale at less than the national average house price. According to Zoopla’s house price index, there has been a slow in the rate at which UK house prices are falling.
In the latest analysis shared in February, experts at the property marketplace said: “House prices have fallen -0.5% in the last year, whereas this figure was -1.4% back in October 2023. This puts the current average house price -1.5% below the peak of £268,000 in October 2022.”
The UK average house price across all property types in January 2024, the latest figure on record, was at £263,600. That compares with an average Bristol property price of £381,136, based on homes sold in the past 12 months. However, there are some properties on the market for around the current national average, or in some cases even less than.

St Johns Lane, Bedminster – £235,000
With an asking price under the national average, this two-bed apartment is located in ‘the heart of Bedminster’ and includes allocated parking which can be hard to come by in Bristol.
